چکیده
Abstract For more than one decade, suspension spraying has been gaining interest for the development and manufacture of coatings wide range applications such as photocatalysis, thermal barrier coatings, wear resistance, biomaterials or superhydrophobicity. Even though these are already promising, a modification their surface properties can further improve functionality lifetime in order to meet growing requirements on coating demands. Direct laser interference patterning (DLIP) is versatile technology which allows fabricating microstructures with high flexibility therefore designing large diversity materials, including metals, polymers, ceramics coatings. In this contribution, DLIP was applied texture sprayed velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) TiO 2 particular, nanosecond-pulsed used produce cross-like patterns effect parameters investigated. Effect of TiO2 addition on the microstructure and nanomechanical properties of Al2O3 Suspension Plasma Sprayed coatings
Alumina-titania coatings are widely used in industry for wear, abrasion or corrosion protection components. Such layers are commonly deposited by atmospheric plasma spraying (APS) using powder as feedstock. In this study, both Al2O3 and Al2O3-13 wt% TiO2 coatings were deposited on austenitic stainless steel coupons by suspension plasma spraying (SPS). Two commercial suspensions of nanosized Al2...
متن کاملSintering of Fine Particles in Suspension Plasma Sprayed Coatings
Suspension plasma spraying is a process that enables the production of finely grained nanometric or submicrometric coatings. The suspensions are formulated with the use of fine powder particles in water or alcohol with some additives. Subsequently, the suspension is injected into plasma jet and the liquid additives evaporate. The remaining fine solids are molten and subsequently agglomerate or ...

Improvement of thermally sprayed coating properties by microstructure modification has been considered as a significant solution. Therefore, in this research the effect of dissolved oxygen content and post heat treatment on the formation and distribution of secondary phase particles, particularly in nano-scale in the coatings during spraying and after that were studied. Ni-5 wt% Al powders were...
متن کاملStudy of Wear Behaviour of Hvof and Cold Sprayed Coatings on Boiler Steels
In this study two commonly used steels in boiler plants, i.e. (SAE-213) T-22 and SA516 (Grade-70) were coated with different thermal spray processes namely HVOF and cold spray. The coating powder used was made up of NiCrTiCRe powder. The performance of the coated as well as uncoated material was investigated using a pin-on-disc machine [Model: Wear and Friction Monitor Tester TR-20], supplied b...
